Did you know that art is more than just creative play? Itβs a powerful tool for your childβs development.
I believe every child is born creative.
Whether your kiddo is already filling sketchbooks or hasnβt drawn a thing in months, this program is built to meet them where they're at - with no pressure to be βgoodβ at art. βοΈ
I don't do comparisons here. My projects don't encourage them to make it just like me. I want them to follow their own spark of curiosity, to make it their own, and to allow themselves to sparkle. β¨
This isnβt really an art program. It is, but it isn't. Itβs about confidence. Problem-solving. Experimentation.
Itβs about giving kids space to explore, make mistakes, and grow. π±
I drip technique into every lesson in small, approachable ways - but the real focus is on exploration and joy. Kids learn best when theyβre having fun, and thatβs exactly what we do here. π
Fosters Creativity and Self-Expression
Art provides a platform for children to express their thoughts, emotions, and ideas in ways that other subjects might not. This is especially important in homeschooling, where tailoring education to individual learning styles is key.
Enhances Fine Motor Skills
Activities like drawing, painting, and sculpting help develop hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, which are foundational for writing, typing, and other daily tasks.
Encourages Problem-Solving
Through art, children learn to think critically and creatively to overcome challenges, such as figuring out how to mix colors, balance compositions, or bring a vision to life.
Improves Focus and Patience
Creating art requires attention to detail and patience, helping children develop their ability to concentrate on tasks for longer periods.
Supports Emotional Well-Being
Art allows children to process emotions and reduce stress in a healthy and constructive way. For homeschoolers, it can also serve as a calming break from other academic subjects.
Teaches Goal Setting and Follow-Through
Completing art projects teaches children to plan, execute, and achieve goalsβan essential skill that translates to all areas of life.
Builds Confidence and Self-Esteem
Seeing their artistic ideas come to life boosts childrenβs confidence in their abilities and encourages them to take pride in their work.
Strengthens Academic Performance
Studies show that art education enhances skills in other subjects, such as math, reading, and science, by promoting abstract thinking and pattern recognition.
Promotes Cultural Awareness
Art exposes children to different cultures, histories, and perspectives, helping them develop empathy and a broader worldview.
Creates Opportunities for Social Connection
Even in a homeschool environment, art can provide opportunities for children to connect with peers through group projects, live classes, or sharing their creations in a supportive community.
Incorporating art into a homeschool curriculum doesnβt just teach children how to createβit equips them with skills, confidence, and resilience that will benefit them for a lifetime.
What Ages & Skill Levels?
Hello Homeschool Art projects are adaptable for a wide range of ages and abilities.
Many lessons include open-ended elements so older learners can explore deeper, while higher-level techniques are introduced in simple, approachable ways for younger artists.
And yes β parents often jump in and create right alongside their kids!
Do We Need Fancy Supplies?
Nope. No specialty tools. No expensive shopping lists.
I intentionally design lessons using affordable, easy-to-find supplies so your child can be successful with what you already have at home.
Common supplies: pencil, eraser, markers, watercolor paints, acrylic paints, and paintbrushes.
We donβt stress about having the βperfectβ tools.
We use what we have. We adapt. We create.
Why This Matters
Iβve seen how easily kids (and adults!) start to believe they canβt make art without a specific tool.
That kind of dependence quietly chips away at confidence.
I donβt want your child thinking, βI canβt draw today because I donβt have the right supply.β
Instead, I teach art in a way that builds true creative confidence β focusing on exploration, problem-solving, and self-expression rather than special equipment.
Because art isnβt about the tools.
Itβs about imagination, curiosity, and enjoying the creative process.
You may be wondering...
This program is designed with grades 3-6 in mind, but is adaptable for younger, older, beginner, and advanced artists.
Children anywhere from 5 to 14 have enjoyed my lessons, thanks to their clear, easy-to-follow structure and open-ended creativity. Younger learners can focus on the basics, while older ones can absorb advanced tips and techniques.
One of the core principles I emphasize is that art is a personal journeyβthereβs no expectation for anyoneβs work to look exactly like mine or someone elseβs.
Rather than imposing a strict age range, I trust parents to decide if this program is the right fit for their childβs unique artistic journey.
Unlike programs with a rotating cast of teachers, Iβm the sole creator and instructor of every lesson. That means your child gets to know me - and I get to cheer them on through every stage of their artistic journey.
Iβm a homeschooling parent myself, so I understand the logistics, the benefits, the struggles, and the magic of learning at home. Iβm here to be your homeschool helper, your childβs creative mentor, and your behind-the-scenes cheerleader.
What types of art lessons are provided each month?
Each month in the Homeschool Art Program, you can expect a carefully curated selection of lessons designed to inspire creativity, teach new skills, and explore a variety of art techniques. Here's what you can expect:
A Variety of Artistic Styles: Lessons range from drawing and painting to imaginative mixed-media projects. For example, one week might focus on drawing a rocket ship using 3-D shapes, while another week might explore blending watercolor with salt to create stunning galaxy effects.
Creative Themes: Each project has a unique and engaging theme. In a single month, kids might learn a new sketching technique, recreate a modern take on historical portraits, or even design their own board game!
Accessible Supplies: Projects are planned with easy-to-find materials, such as markers, pencils, and basic paints. While some lessons may suggest optional items like gel pens for extra detail, theyβre always achievable with what you likely have at home or can pick up at a local store.
Skill Building and Exploration: Lessons are structured to teach foundational art techniquesβlike creating depth with 3-D shapes, blending colors, and using rulers for precisionβwhile leaving room for kids to experiment and make the art their own.
The program is intentionally designed to strike a balance between structured learning and open-ended creativity. By offering a variety of projects, children get to explore different mediums and techniques while staying engaged and having fun. My goal is to foster an environment where kids feel empowered to express themselves through art without needing expensive or complicated supplies.
You can check the upcoming schedule of lessons at anytime here! And you can also check out all the lessons instantly available to members in the Member Library!
I try my best to utilize supplies that are as easy as possible to obtain, and it is always okay to substitute when you don't have what the lesson calls for.
Not at all! While my program is designed with homeschool families in mind, itβs open to anyone who wants to add creativity and art enrichment to their routine. Whether your child is fully homeschooled, attends public or private school but loves exploring art at home, or youβre simply looking for a way to nurture their creativity, this program is for you.
I understand that every family approaches education differently. Some members use this program as part of their full-time homeschool curriculum, while others use it to supplement what their kids are learning in school. Itβs flexible, fun, and designed to fit into a variety of learning styles and schedules.
Art is for everyoneβand Iβd love to have you join us! π¨β¨
The monthly or annual membership price for Homeschool Art Program or Homeschool Art Program + Live are both for the WHOLE FAMILY!

Hello Homeschool Art offers a structured, personalized, and immersive experience that goes far beyond what youβd find in a YouTube tutorial. Here's how weβre different:
Tailored for Homeschoolers:
Unlike YouTube tutorials, our program is designed specifically for homeschool families. Lessons are organized into a cohesive curriculum, making it easy to fulfill art elective requirements without extra planning on your part.
Step-by-Step Guided Lessons:
Each class is taught by Ms. Jes, an experienced art educator, who provides clear, patient, and thorough instruction. Students are guided from start to finish, ensuring they feel confident and supported every step of the way.
Engaging and Thematic Learning:
Our lessons are centered around fun and beloved themes that make learning personal and exciting for kids. This keeps students engaged and motivated in ways generic tutorials canβt.
Interactive and Inclusive:
The Homeschool Art Program fosters a sense of community and inclusivity. Parents and students can share their artwork, connect with other families, and receive feedback from a supportive instructorβsomething a YouTube video can't offer.
Simplified Supplies:
We make art accessible by focusing on easy-to-find, affordable materials, ensuring no lesson is out of reach for your family. No guesswork or unexpected supply runs are needed!
Builds Confidence, Not Just Skills:
Our program is more than βfollow alongβ art. Itβs about empowering students to grow their artistic abilities, develop personal expression, and feel proud of their creativity.
YouTube tutorials may be free, but they donβt offer the curated, hands-on, and homeschool-specific support that makes the Homeschool Art Program a valuable investment in your childβs education.
